Hi there, It's been a while since I've had the time to sit down and write. So here is one of the things I've come to realize in the past months: Nature, and by that I also mean our own body, has its way of telling us when we’ve exceeded its limits. Climate change is an example. But today I would like to focus on the human body. We often forget completely about the true needs of our body. We eat quick and often without paying attention to what we consume. We do sleep less than we feel like. We are often in a rush. We do not take regular breaks. And when we do, We fill that time away from our primary duty with other duties And when we get the flue, we rush to the pharmacy to take some pills. But we keep working and doing what we believe to be our duty. Then, suddenly… we get really sick, so badly that the pills from the pharmacy do not help Or we twist an ankle or even break a leg. Or we drop of the stairs,.. Then we are forced to sit tight, to lay in bed, or worse. Why does this happen? And why hasn’t there been any warning? Well… there has been… and more than one. But we were blind and deaf. This is also how people get a burn-out. For those who do not know what that is: A burn-out is when you become unable to focus, remember things, very tired, very tired, easily irritated or even angry. Basically you stop functioning. All of this does not happen overnight. The symptoms appeared in an early stage. Often our body is not screaming loud enough for us to hear it, and even if we do, to pay attention to it. We are too absorbed by what we think is important. We believe we cannot afford to take a break or to slow down. Sad fact is that once it’s too late, the damage will cost us much more, often 10 to 1000 times more. Our productivity would even increase if we would listen to our body more carefully. This would benefit all: body, mind, private life and business life. Take a moment of reflection. Then reevaluate your life style, your habits.
Think about it.

How sad that i didn't listen to my body. I thought i just didn't like my work and worked even harder trying to make it more sense and meaningful.

Most of my life I simply didnt realize I have a body. Even less, that it has needs. I stayed often so long before eating till one day I simply lost the ability to feel the hunger anymore. I laugh sometimes saying that the red light of emergency is not working anymore, it is simply broken... Do you believe after damaged has been done to our body, like surgical intervention or traumas, we can get back to it as friend again? Back to speaking terms?

Yes Carla, I'm convinced that we can, that you can.
