Which way to go?

Can this influence your business?
How and when did this whole discussion start?
Well, back in the days, not so long ago, what’s called today pseudo-science, energetic healing and what we today suddenly call alternative medicine, was very normal and common sense for the majority of the human race. And it worked for millennia.
I can start naming millions of recent cases where these things did not have the expected outcome/effect. And I can also name millions of cases where it did.
Does the first list of examples prove the second to be fake or vice versa? Both have been documented.
And yes, for the skeptics: both documentations can be falsified. As has been done by the pharmaceutical companies as well.
I have my personal experiences and thus I developed and opinion which I will share with you in this article.
There are many coaches who claim faster than ever results or even instantaneous. Tony Robins being the most famous of them. There are people who describe what they are doing in a more romantic way: examples are Theta healing, Reiki, Osteopathy, many types or Yoga, Self-hypnosis, Acupressure or the scientifically accepted Acupuncture.
The effects differ and depend on a large variety of factors. Belief being one of the most important ones, but not always decisive or even required.
I myself had a burn-out in 2004, very high levels of stress. I was mainly living in my mind, very often neglecting my intuition.
On my birthday in got sick, I could not handle the stress of 30 people in the house. I got fever, started vomiting and got even diarrhea. I ended-up in bed.
Then a friend came to my bedroom and asked me if I was okay with him doing something for me? I could barely talk and said “whatever”. I had given-up on the evening. He asked me to just stay as I was only to give him my hand. So I did. For 20-30 min he was touching between the index finger, middle finger and the ring finger.
After some time I realized that my fever was gone, my stomach had calmed down as did my intestines.
I was thunderstruck. What had happened? After that I asked my girlfriend to let people come to the room one by one or as couples. She managed the whole visiting and I had 10 minutes per visitor, or I should say every visitor got 10 min with me. Most of my friends made jokes as they entered, some even went on their knees to kiss my ring witch I did not have as I was not the Pope :-
t ended up being one of my nicest birthdays ever.
At two in the morning everyone had left and I felt good enough to get out of the bed to help clean-up the house. The next day I even went out with some friends airplane spotting. I was still weak but could enjoy the trip.
That day I sat down and wondered what had happened? I was very science oriented and something my knowledge could not explained had happened that weekend. I knew that there was no official science explaining this.
I realized that there was something untouchable that healed me that night.
This is when I decided to take up a Reiki Master on her offer to have a session. One she offered me a year earlier, but I did not know what to expect so I didn’t go. I knew nothing about reiki and I was not yet Googling everything.
She let me lay down on a massage table, I had to close my eyes and breathe calmly. She went from head to toes levitating her hands over my body with touch. I felt cold on some places and heat on others.
At the end of the session she rear my aura and told me that I was draining energy as my 7th Chakra was as open as that of of a child. She suggested that I would visualize closing it to an adult level. She recommended me to focus on this daily for a while as it would take time to normalize.
When leaving I felt so light, both emotionally and physically, it was like walking with half the gravity.
This was how everything started for me. And I was not a believer in.... I didn't even know how to call all of this.
On my birthday I was only believing in what science had proven. The day after I did not know what to believe. But my intuition told me to take a next step, so I did.
Then things started to change...

“Is everything you cannot see or explain nonexistent or fake?”
So what to do when science is unable to explain what you’ve experienced. So skeptics will attribute everything to pure coincidence. The I must say that I’m super lucking and I should have played the lottery back then, I would have won for sure :-)
But seriously…
My life started to improve from that moment on. My stress levels started to diminish, I became more relax, happy, self-confident and the world around me started to change as well.
At the same time I started meeting from time to time someone who was different from the others, someone who could feel more or would show me new things science couldn’t explain.
As a corporate recruiter I was talking with a supplier about recruitment and people in general. Suddenly I realized that the conversation had changed course and she was sharing her experience with Reiki and how she started studying it. Our next meeting she borrowed me her course book. This is how I learned to heal my own muscle injuries much quicker than my physiotherapist did. Please note that I had one of the best physiotherapists of the whole Amsterdam Area (a friend of mine had a severe neck injury after an accident and had no improvement after 6 months, I referred her to him. 3 months later she had fully recovered).
You’re probably wondering by now where this is going and what my message is about?
Well it’s very simple: for millennia humans have been dismissing theories until proven. Often labeling them as fake and even killing for it. Unfortunately not much has changed today. Since modern science became financed by corporations and government, most of what hasn’t been approved by certain scientific institutions is considered fake, irrelevant or labeled pseudoscience. If this sounds unreal to you just look for yourself. Most of ancient medicine has been dismissed. It is difficult to prove anything if money drives the industry and thus the research labs. Cheap or even free remedies would mean no money for the pharmaceutical industry for example. So the word Placebo got introduced and thrown around to justify any positive result of an ancient method or drug. In the 20th century science even went to rename old medication and methods into “alternative Medicine”. Grammatically this is incorrect. The alternative is what comes second. Ironic right? And when you keep repeating some statement long enough the mass will start to believe it to be true. This is how the mass got to belie that chemical drugs are the real stuff and all the other unworthy.
It’s interesting that this has mainly started in the US, the country ruled by those who invaded it, took over by force and restricted the survivors of the Native Americans who wanted to keep living in nature in to dry and deserted camps called reserves. To then claim that it’s their country and all immigrants should leave. In South Africa it didn’t work as it didn’t in most colonized countries/continents on earth.
If you’re wondering I do not sell any medication. I have however noticed that wen using natural medication (the non chemical) it often works as well as the artificial ones and with no side effects.
Looking at my own father for example: he has 2 illnesses and takes 7 different drugs. 5 of them are to counter side effects.
There is a reason why all large pharmaceutical companies have had enormous fines. There is also a reason why statistics are used and certain levels of failure are accepted within the industry. I personally believe that no death is acceptable as a result of using a drug or the failure of it curing a person.
This is proof that science is not as good as it pretends to be. Yet the same people behave like gods, judge and jury when it comes to judging the quality of their products and those of other or nature.
There is a reason why the greatest scientists say that the more they know the better they realize that in fact they know so little. This is why I do have a problem with the scientist labeling what they cannot explain as being pseudoscience: they can’t explain it so it’s fake.
It is dangerous to behave this way. It’s what creates division and conflict. Which is bad for your health, safety, harmony within society, business, economy…
This same behavior is often also applied within large corporations and even sometimes in small businesses. It’s what costs them to collapse or lose market share.
If your primary goal is to make money, then you have a low chance to run a good business and long term survival. If your goal is to deliver great value to other and to make the world a better place, even when it means making a small environment around you a better place, then you’ll have a much greater chance of long term prosperity.
In addition you’ll notice that it’ll be much more fulfilling for you and your team. Money will not the motivator but will become abundant. The creation of Google, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft and Nokia are good examples at their start. Look today how they are doing… Apple lost market share as its main focus became money. Nokia almost totally collapsed for the same reason. The latter is trying to make a comeback while focusing on the one reason they were so great.
The other companies in this short list have started to lose their “excellence“ reputation as they grew to be so enormous and started struggling with keeping their clients/users happy. Facebook wants to make more money every day and wants to grow even bigger. Is that really needed? It’s not why it was created in the first place. Microsoft is already on its way to restore client’s satisfaction.
It is important to always remember why you created your company in the first place and why you are doing what you are doing.
As you can see, the basic principles are the same in every field.
So when it comes to coaching and traditional healing we see that some have tried to scientifically prove the effectiveness of them. Unfortunately this is with the current level of understanding of the world we live in not that easy to do and in many cases impossible especially when wanting to start from the point of what we consider to have been proven. The latter often being statistics and not absolute 100% success rate.
Many decades after the relativity theory was presented by Albert Einstein, it is still being used while not 100% proven to be right. It is becoming clear that it will never be as it does not cover every aspect of existence. This is why so many accepted great theories do contradict one another: a great example is General Relativity & Quantum Mechanics. And that’s okay as we still have a lot more to discover before we can come-up with one theory/formula that covers everything.
Traditional healing is using principles that have not yet been proven scientifically to a point that the results are statistically acceptable. The same applies to coaching on soul level.
Psychology means the science of the soul. Yet no one has been able to scientifically prove what the soul is. So how can it be accepted as a true and accurate science? This is most probably why the science has turned to the mind and ego. It sees the mind as a computer that can be reprogrammed. NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) being increasingly used by psychologists proves this theory.
So it’s ironic that those practicing this “science” based on … yes… not what it is called… are the most opposed and critical about soul workers like a Tony Robins and hundreds of thousands like him, just not as popular.
The soul workers do connect from soul to soul by feeling, using their intuition and connecting to the universal consciousness. (Another thing that has not been proven beyond any doubt and thus rejected)
The soul work consists mainly in feeling what that specific person in front of you needs. Meaning that even twins would often need different treatment as they are different people. Genetically identical at birth does not mean you’re a perfect clone. Even in the computer world perfect clones are rare.
Look at yourself and your surroundings…
People with perfect CV’s and the perfect answers don’t always get hired… why? Not a real match… People often try to come with a rational reason, well you know they’re most of the time bogus. It’s a feeling that makes the manager or HR person decide to hire or not. This often turns out to be the right decision. It’s like a mother knowing when something is wrong with her child. Or when meeting someone and just knowing that that person is okay or not, is the one you’ll be happy with the rest of your life.
Can you scientifically explain all of this? No. Yet it’s there and it’s really happening. So there are mechanics you cannot touch or see but you see their effect. It is therefore strange in my opinion to discredit all of those who do something that is not based on the same statistical formula.
I can tell you out of personal experience that instant breakthroughs do happen. That people do change overnight, that deep pains and traumas can be healed much faster and more effectively within a few sessions and sometimes even one session. And most of those processes are not identical to one another. People are unique, this is why every case is unique. This is why you should not treat everyone the exact same way in the first place. Those of you who are successful business man or woman do know this.
The biggest proof of that one size doesn’t fit all is the world we live in: no country has been able to implement a single simple education system that guarantees that all kids end up having successful careers. Same applies to the correctional systems, they barely work as they only deal with the symptoms and not the root of the problem.
And this is how traditional healing and soul works do work: they go to the root of the problem and resolve it there. This is how smart entrepreneurs do solve their problems too.
This does not mean that all coaches and healers do good work or have 100% success rates. The number of factors involved are still high. The patient/client needs to be truly ready to deal with his or her issues without any hiding or restriction. And like many things in life: timing is crucial.
My advice:Trust your intuition as it will always point you into the right direction (long term).Science is there to help you, it’s not flawless so it cannot be your main source of decision making. The most successful entrepreneurs and CEO’s do not read all the files, they do act on their instinct/gut feeling/intuition. Even if they do not admit it. Richard Branson being one of those.
So what to do when science is unable to explain what you’ve experienced. So skeptics will attribute everything to pure coincidence. The I must say that I’m super lucking and I should have played the lottery back then, I would have won for sure :-)
