This why we have launched the NGO's Mastermind that has as the following goals: 

• Exchanging strategies that have proven to be effective
• Joining forces in the different possible areas 
• ​Brainstorming on overcoming obstacles related to attracting the right volunteers
• Looking into co-organizing volunteer recruitment events

NGO's Mastermind was planned as almost no potential volunteer signed up to attend the Bridging charity event where the NGO’s would present themselves and list their needs (regarding volunteers).
 
So Ibi Beres and Lotfi M'Rad decided to postpone the event and meet at tea house Bernschutz & Co (on Strada General Eremia Grigorescu 5) to brainstorm on how to get more potential volunteers in a room with needing charities.

Present were:

Ibolya (Ibi) Beres - ​Co-organizer & co-host.
Lotfi M’Rad - ​Organizer & Host
 
We’ve discussed many ways of reaching potential volunteers:

• People who would like to volunteer but have no idea where to go
• People who would like to but believe they do not have the right qualifications (education or experience)
• People who want a better world but don’t know where to start as they feel they are too small to make a difference
• People who have thought about it but never really realized that it’s not that difficult to do good

 
We believe that there are so many people who could start volunteering! We just need to reach them!
 
So the main strategy for the upcoming event is:

• All of us reach-out to all the active volunteers that we know.
• We invite them to attend Bridging Charity 1.1 on Thursday 12-05-2016 from 19:00-21:00
• Ibi and I will:
  • Explain the power of an ambassador
  • Request them to look around them and start sharing what they do
  • Request them to motivate people to join the Bridging Charity 1.2 on Tuesday 06-06-2016
  • Give then tools to motivate the potential attendees
• We will conclude the gathering with a networking session where the volunteers can exchange among them what they do and what kind of opportunities there are.

 
In addition everyone will look for a company or two (if possible) where he /she can convince someone to start promoting Bridging Charity.
The idea is that people may donate money for one cause but would prefer to be actively involved in another (example: great to donate for cancer, but really too heavy to get personally involved)
 
I will create a web page  for each of the events. Those can be shared to boost the process!
 
Summary of the Bridging Charity Training Volunteer event.

If you know people who are already volunteers, please do ask them to  contact me here!​

​If we'll have al least 4 other active volunteers, we'll organize another training.
 
The training had covered a few objectives:

• Know better the volunteers, know their personal stories, know them as human beings 
• Make them aware of how important is what they are doing
• Help them to find their own drivers; what motivates them
• Help them to find the types of people they can engage and inspire for becoming volunteers
• How we can promote and invite more people to be involved and to contribute through volunteering ​

Background:

In November 2015 several people within my network and myself included, felt that we want to do something to contribute to changing the society.
And like any other change, this change has to come from within. Within the people. You. And me.
At that time several initiatives were born and then people decided to team-up to boost the impact of their involvement.
BRiDGiNG charity is a result of this.

It is about giving/sharing your time to help someone or a cause.​
Helping about doing and not having an opinion.
